1. Understand, Don’t Memorize:
Why: Math is logic-based. Memorizing formulas without grasping the why leads to failure when problems are twisted.
How: Always ask: Why does this formula work? Can I derive it? Try proving it yourself before checking the textbook.
2. Master the Language of Mathematics
Why: Symbols and notation are the grammar of math. Misunderstanding them can derail your reasoning.
How: Build a glossary. Learn what ∀ (for all), ∃ (there exists), and ⇒ (implies) truly mean. Rephrase math statements in plain English.
3. Break Down Concepts into Micro-Topics
Why: Big topics (e.g., Calculus) are made of small, manageable pieces.
How: Divide chapters into sub-skills (e.g., limits, continuity, derivatives). Conquer each micro-topic before moving on.
4. Active Problem Solving: Learn by Doing
Why: Math is a skill, not just knowledge. Like playing an instrument or a sport, practice is key.
How: Don’t just watch solution videos or read solved problems. Try problems cold first. Make mistakes—then analyze them.
5.Maintain a "Mistake Journal"
Why: Errors are where learning happens. Repeating them shows you’re not learning from them.
How: Keep a notebook of all your errors. Write down: The problem, your mistake, the correct method and the lesson learned
